For printed programs

GQ is an a cappella and barbershop vocal quartet from Baltimore, MD, composed of four great friends: Amanda Sandroni, Katie Gillis, Ali Hauger, and Samantha Tramack. They sing a variety of styles, spanning different genres and decades, and have a serious passion for creating a unique sound!

They’ve come a long way since they were the 2013 Rising Star Champions: they received the highest regional score of all time at the Sweet Adelines International Region 19 Quartet Contest (2016), placed as high as 3rd (2019) while collecting medals in the Sweet Adelines International competition and became the first women’s quartet to medal at the Barbershop Harmony Society International competition in Charlotte – placing 4th!

GQ has performed all over the United States and Canada, but haven’t stopped there. They’ve headlined BinG! In Munich, Germany, the SABS Barbershop Convention in Spain, DABS in Holland, LABBS in England, and PanPac in New Zealand. They have served as the guest teaching quartet and clinicians for many harmony camps are all involved with the arts and education in some capacity. GQ arranges many of their own a cappella songs and loves to collaborate with other quartets and artists.

While they have a name in the barbershop world, they have also made a name for themselves on the internet as well: they made the front page of Reddit with a video that has over 7 million views! They have also been featured on Garrison Keillor’s A Prairie Home Companion twice in 2015.
